MSU Kids Coach - Nolan Williams

Kid Coach is a partnership between Children's of Mississippi and the Mississippi State Bulldogs to salute pediatric patients. Their inspirational stories remind us just how truly courageous these young people are.

This week's Children's of Mississippi Kid Coach is Nolan Williams of Doddsville, MS.
Â
Before he was born, Nolan was diagnosed with two congenital heart defects: double outlet right ventricle and hypoplastic left ventricle. Since then, Nolan has been in the hands of the pediatric cardiology specialists at Children's of Mississippi.

Nolan spent most of his first year of life at Children's of Mississippi and has had many more visits as well, with hospital stays and appointments. In his nine years, Nolan has had five open heart surgeries and numerous heart caths. His family describes his care team as family and miracle workers!

Nolan comes for checkups every three months. And in between times, he stays busy playing baseball and golf, hunting, going to school, spending time on his grandfather's catfish farm and playing Fortnite with his friends.

Nolan's family has generations of MSU graduates, and MSU baseball and football are their favorites. Nolan loves MSU baseball especially!Â
