Diamond Dawgs Take Down Samford

Hines and Jordan shine in victory over Samford
Dakota Jordan and Hunter Hines both had three-hit days for the Diamond Dawgs. Hines went 3-for-5 with a double, driving in an RBI. Jordan had two doubles on his 3-for-4 day, totaling two RBIs. This was Jordan's first multi-hit game as a Bulldog.
Evan Siary drew the start for State, striking out two batters in two innings of work. The combination of Graham Yntema, Brock Tapper, Aaron Nixon and KC Hunt tallied seven innings out of the pen. The four arms struck out seven batters, allowing only two unearned runs and two walks.
The Bulldogs are back in action on Thursday as they return to Southeastern Conference play hosting the South Carolina Gamecocks. First pitch is scheduled for 6 p.m. on the SEC Network.
Aaron Walton homered to right, a two-run blast.
