
MSU Defeated In Five Innings At No. 17 Georgia

ATHENS, Ga. – A day after keeping the SEC's leading home run hitting team inside the yard, Mississippi State gave up five home runs at No. 17 Georgia on its way to a 10-0 loss in five innings.
While all of Friday night's scoring came on balls that didn't leave the infield, all but one of Saturday's runs came on balls that left the park. Georgia (27-6, 7-1 SEC) hit two two-run shots in the first then led off the second with a solo homer before tacking on a third two-run homer. A fifth homer came in the fourth, extending the lead to 10-0.
The Bulldogs (22-10, 3-2 SEC) were no hit for the first time under Ricketts. State drew two walks, but one was erased on a double play ball in the second.
Reis Beuerlein started in the circle and threw 1.0 inning, allowing one earned run on a homer. Kenley Hawk then went 2.0 innings before giving way to Josey Marron.
Aquana Brownlee – Walked in the second inning.
Macy Graf – Drew a walk … has now reached base in five straight games, including every SEC game of the season.
Josey Marron – Threw the final 1.0 inning of the game, allowing one hit … struck out one.
Dallis Goodnight reached base to open the inning when the throw across the diamond was dropped by the first baseman. With one out, Jayda Kearney homered to right. Jaiden Fielded then doubled into left-center field. With two outs, Sydney Kuma homered to left-center field.
