ATHENS, Ga. – The series finale between Mississippi State softball and No. 17 Georgia has been canceled due to inclement weather in the area.

The teams made an effort to play, moving the start time up two hours on Saturday afternoon. Then on Sunday, they delayed the start two hours back to its original time before making the decision that the conditions would be unplayable.

On Deck
Mississippi State (22-10, 3-2 SEC) remains on the road for a midweek meeting at ULM in Monroe, Louisiana, on Wednesday. That game is set for 5 p.m. CT. Following that contest, State returns home to host Arkansas on March 31-April 2 at Nusz Park.Â
