LEXINGTON, Ky. – The Mississippi State baseball team looked to bounce back on Saturday afternoon against Kentucky; however, the Diamond Dawgs came up short and fell by a score of 12-3.

Hunter Hines continued to swing the bat well in Saturday's contest. He finished 3-for-4 on the day, with a pair of home runs and a double and drove in three total runs.

Landon Gartman picked up seven of the first nine outs in the game via the strikeout.

The Bulldogs and Wildcats are back for game three of the series tomorrow, with first pitch scheduled for 11 a.m. The game is set to be broadcast on the SEC Network.
