MSU Kids Coach - Nathan LaSalle

Kid Coach is a partnership between Children's of Mississippi and the Mississippi State Bulldogs to salute pediatric patients. Their inspirational stories remind us just how truly courageous these young people are.

Today's Children's of Mississippi Kid Coach is Nathan LaSalle of Starkville.
Â
When he was 17 months old, Nathan came to Children's of Mississippi for treatment of severe anemia. His body had stopped producing enough red blood cells and could not fight off infections. Two months later, doctors discovered he had developed leukemia.
Â
After three and a half years of chemotherapy, Nathan is now cancer-free, and comes to Children's Cancer Center just for routine checkups.
