Holcombe comes to MSU from Northeast Mississippi CC after a record-breaking campaign. In his lone season at Northeast Mississippi CC, he became the first Tiger to earn Mississippi Association of Community Colleges Conference (MACCC) Pitcher of the Year and was named First Team All-American by the NJCAA.
Holcombe set the program record for most strikeouts in a single season with 115, the fourth-best in the country by an NJCAA pitcher. He posted a 2.60 ERA as he pitched a team-best 65.2 innings. He went 7-3 on the season. Over his first three starts for Northeast Mississippi CC, Holcombe pitched 16 innings, only allowed three hits, and tallied 29 strikeouts.
Hardin joins the Diamond Dawgs after playing at Daytona State College. He was named the team's Pitcher of the Year in 2021 and, in two years, made 38 appearances with 15 starts. He pitched 89.2 innings and had 88 strikeouts at Daytona State College.

The 2023 season gets underway on Feb. 17 when the Diamond Dawgs host VMI in a three-game series at Dudy Noble Field in Starkville.
Mississippi State's 56-game schedule features 33 home games, 16 road contests, and seven neutral-site matchups.
