
Two Tennis Bulldogs Tabbed All-SEC

STARKVILLE – Florian Broska and Nemanja Malesevic represent Mississippi State on the All-SEC Men's Tennis Team released on Friday.

Broska earned a spot on the first team while Malesevic was named to the second team. Both have received year end honors from the league before with Broska being a part of the second team last season as well All-Freshman in 2018. Malesevic was also tabbed to the All-Freshman team last year.

Broska is currently ranked a career-high 19th nationally in singles as well as one-half of the No. 48 doubles tandem with partner Gregor Ramskogler. The graduate from Germany is currently tied for the team lead with 21 wins on the year, 13 of which have come during dual match play. He is also tied for the team lead with seven singles victories against ranked opponents.

Broska's 97 career singles wins are tied with Matthieu Ballay (1996-99) for the sixth-most in MSU history. His 167 overall victories are tied for the eighth-most in school history with Romain Ambert (2001-04).

Malesevic currently ranks as the No. 79 singles competitor in the country and has been ranked as highly as 30th in doubles this season. The sophomore from Bosnia and Herzegovina tops the team with an 18-6 singles record this spring with seven victories versus ranked opponents. He finished the regular season winning eight of his last 11 singles matches.

The Bulldogs are awaiting their destination and opponent for the NCAA Championship. The selection show for NCAA Championship will be Monday at 5 p.m.
