Stallworth Breaks Second School Record, 11 PRs Fall on Final Day in the Swamp
April 16, 2022 | Track & Field
GAINESVILLE, Fla. – Mississippi State's Jhordyn Stallworth picked up right where she left off last week by setting another school record for the women's track and field program, this time in the shot put. Stallworth broke the 16-year-old record by a throw of 15.66m, 0.38m farther than the mark that had stood since 2006.
Across both days, the Bulldogs placed 23 top-10 finishes, and set a grand total of 18 personal bests. Eppie (men's 200m, 400m), Pepper (men's discus, hammer) and Scott (men's long jump, 400m) all broke a PR in multiple events across the two days.
Women's Results
100m: 1. Melissa Jefferson, Coastal Carolina (11.00)
