Women’s Golf Completes Second Day of Liz Murphey Collegiate Classic

ATHENS, Ga. – The Mississippi State women's golf team completed the second round from Athens on Saturday. After the second round, the Bulldogs are 10th shooting 39-over par.
State was led by the duo of Julia Lopez Ramirez and Hannah Levi who are both top-20 individually after the second round.
Lopez Ramirez finished the second round with a score of 1-over to finish tied for third. Lopez Ramirez has sunk the second most birdies through 36 holes with eight.
Levi finished tied for 18th with a score of 6-over. Levi has rolled in the third most pars of the tournament so far with 26.
"Hannah [Levi] and Julia [Lopez Ramirez] have been playing really solid," said head coach Charlie Ewing. "They have been steady in their mindset and have played tough through the first two rounds."
Tied for 57th, Abbey Daniel used nine pars on Saturday to bring her score to 14-over.
Ashley Gilliam is tied for 75th with a score of 21-over while Blair Stockett is tied for 80th with a score of 25-over.
"Belief and patience are our two biggest things heading into the final round, head coach Charlie Ewing said. "This golf course will challenge everything that you have mentally and physically. It is going to challenge you. You have to play with the utmost belief in yourself and remain patient. Any mistake that you make will be exposed. Just being able to stay patient with yourself through it all will be the most important thing heading into the final round."
Mississippi State will complete the 2022 Spring Edition of the Liz Murphey Collegiate Classic on Sunday where they will be paired with Georgia's "B" team. The Bulldogs will tee off from Hole 10 at approximately 8:02 AM.
