Bulldogs Fall at Missouri on Sunday

COLUMBIA, Mo. – Mississippi State, playing its fourth game of the week, fell on the road to Missouri 76-66 Sunday afternoon.
The Bulldogs were led offensively by Caterrion Thompson, who scored a team-high 21 on 9-14 shooting. She was 3-of-6 from behind-the-arc. On Sunday, Anastasia Hayes was the only Bulldog in double-figures as she added 14 to the box score. Thompson added five rebounds and a steal to her stat sheet, while Hayes added five rebounds, two assists and a steal to her totals.
All seven Bulldogs scored on Sunday after Ashley Jones found the bottom of the net in the final frame.
Charlotte Kohl scored seven points, followed by Myah Taylor with eight and Aislynn Hayes, who scored nine. JerKaila Jordan added two points, four rebounds and three steals to the box score on Sunday. Jordan has recorded three or more steals in four of the last six games.
Mississippi State had seven assists on the day and was again led by Taylor, who had five while Hayes added two.
The Bulldogs made it close late, tying the game at 55 with 6:10 to play before Missouri went on an 8-0 run to take control of the contest and eventually win, 76-66.
Game Notes:
· Charlotte Kohl led the team in rebounding for the second consecutive game.
· In the two matchups against Missouri this season, Caterrion Thompson combined for 48 points on 19-29 shooting and 10-18 from behind the arc.
