
State Announces 2023 Outdoor Track and Field Schedule

STARKVILLE – Head coach Chris Woods and the Mississippi State track and field program have announced the schedule for the 2023 outdoor season. The Bulldogs will compete in eight meets spanning across five states upon entering postseason competition.

MSU will then prepare for a five-match road swing, starting in Austin, Texas, for the Texas Relays (March 29-April 1) before traveling to in-state rival and conference foe Ole Miss for the Joe Walker Invite (April 7-8). From there, the Bulldogs will compete on the pacific coast (April 12-14) before traveling to its second SEC opponent of the regular season for the Tom Jones Invite (April 14-18) in Gainesville, Florida. State will conclude the five-match stretch of meets at its neighboring state of Alabama for the Crimson Tide Invitational, April 22.

MSU will wrap up its regular season at home for the Maroon and White Invite, April 28-29).

The 2023 SEC Outdoor Championships will be hosted by LSU (May 11-13). The Bulldogs will take a week off before making its third trip of the season to the Sunshine State for the NCAA Regional Championship (May 24-27), held in Jacksonville, Florida. The NCAA Outdoor National Championship will be held in Austin, Texas, taking place June 7-10.

MSU 2023 Outdoor Season
State will open its outdoor campaign the weekend immediately following the NCAA Indoor Championships. The Dawgs will travel down to South Beach for the Miami Hurricane Invite (March 17-18) before returning home for the annual Bulldog Relays, March 23-25.Â
