October 06, 2022 | Men's Golf
STARKVILLE, Miss. – The SEC announced Wednesday that Garrett Endicott is the SEC Freshman Golfer of the Week for his performance at the SEC Fall Preview Sept. 25-27. This is the first time a freshman from Mississippi State has received the honor since Ford Clegg won it twice in 2019.
Endicott tied the men's golf 54-hole record with 198. He shot 64s in the second and third rounds, finishing as runner-up in individual play in just his second collegiate event.
Endicott's finish was the highest by a freshman since 2018, when Goodman Rudolph tied for second at the USA Individual in Mobile, Ala.
