Bulldogs Wrap Up Action in Birmingham, Set Five Personal Bests
January 22, 2022 | Track & Field
BIRMINGHAM, Ala. – In the third meet in two weekends for Mississippi State, the Bulldogs collected multiple top-10 finishes in its final regular season meet held at the Birmingham Crossplex.
Â
In total, the Maroon and White set 20 personal bests and collected 76 top-10 collegiate finishes, spanning across the three Birmingham events.
Â
The next time the Maroon and White would compete at the Birmingham venue would be for the NCAA Indoor Championships (March 11-12). Until then, State faces four different regular season meets ranging from Fayetteville, Arkansas to South Bend, Indiana.
Â
"This weekend was a good opportunity for several of our athletes to showcase their hard work. We had some of our developmental student-athletes come out and perform at a high level. I'm excited for their improvement for the rest of the season. But now, it's time to turn our sights to Arkansas next week, and hopefully, we can put on a good showing against some nationally ranked teams."
Â
The Bulldogs head to conference foe Arkansas next weekend, Jan. 89-29, for the Razorback Invitational.
