August 16, 2021 | Men's Golf
OMAHA, Neb.– Chad Ramey, an All-Southeastern Conference performer who played for the Mississippi State men's golf program from 2010-14, officially earned his first PGA Tour card by finishing in the top-25 of the 2020-21 Korn Ferry Tour regular season points standings.
Â
The 43-event regular season concluded Sunday evening at the Pinnacle Bank Championship in Omaha, Nebraska. Ramey shot 12-under to finish tied for fourth in Omaha.
Â
"It means everything," Ramey said. "It's what I have worked my whole life for. It's just nice to see that the hard work is starting to pay off. The last couple of years my wedges and my putting have really come around. It has always been a dream of mine since I was a little kid to reach the PGA Tour."
Â
The Fulton, Mississippi native garnered his first Korn Ferry Tour victory at the 2021 Live and Work in Maine Open in June. He totaled 21 top-25 finishes en route to his first career PGA Tour card.
Â
Ramey graduated with a degree in financial planning from Mississippi State in 2014. He has put together an outstanding pro career that includes 12 top-10 finishes.
