STARKVILLE – Mississippi State's Chad Ramey, who played for the Bulldogs from 2010-14, picked up his first win as a professional on the Korn Ferry Tour on Sunday afternoon. Ramey finished the Live and Work in Maine Open at 16-under 268 to claim a one-stroke victory.

"It's amazing, it's kind of like getting the monkey off the back," Ramey told PGATour.com. "My first win as a professional. It's been a long time coming…I've been so close for so many years and on so many different occasions. For me to get it done coming down the stretch, it's awesome."

Ramey's best round came on the second day of the tournament when he shot a 6-under 65. Over the 72 holes, he fired 21 birdies. The Fulton, Mississippi, native was declared Tour Bound last week, passing the necessary points threshold to earn his 2021-22 PGA Tour card.

Elsewhere current Bulldogs and incoming signees found success in summer competition. A pair of Bulldogs earned top-10 finishes at the Mississippi Amateur Championship. Hunter Logan led the way, shooting 11-under for a fifth-place finish. Ben Nelson was right on his heels in sixth place at 9-under. Austin Vukovits rounded out the top 20 with a tie for 19th.

Ford Clegg made the cut at the Northeast Amateur, ultimately finishing tied for 40th after shooting a 4-over 280 through four rounds. An ocean away in France, Pedro Silva Cruz competed in the European Amateur Championship. The rising sophomore shot a 5-under and 4-under in the middle two rounds.
