Clegg Selected To All-Region Team

STARKVILLE – Ford Clegg, Mississippi State's leader on the golf course, was selected to the PING All-Region Team this week.

Clegg continues to garner honors for MSU. He is the first Bulldog to earn all-region honors since 2017 (Peng Pichaikool) and picked up State's first All-SEC honors under head coach Dusty Smith earlier this spring.

The Birmingham, Alabama, native led the Bulldogs with a 71.17 stroke average this season and five top-10 finishes in 10 total tournaments. He shot par or better in 57 percent of his rounds and posted State's four lowest rounds of the year, including a career-low 63.

Clegg won an individual title for the second year in a row, tying for first place at the Jerry Pate National Intercollegiate. At that tournament, he tied the school-record with a 198 54-hole total, which also marked the lowest three-day total by a Bulldog since 2014-15.
