Agent Selected To SEC Community Service Team
May 21, 2021 | Men's Golf
BIRMINGHAM, Ala. – Mississippi State's Griffin Agent has been selected to the SEC Men's Golf Community Service Team, the league office announced on Friday.
Â
Griffin Agent was active in the community virtually during the COVID-19 pandemic. He filmed a video encouraging the patients at the Jackson Children's Hospital and participated in National Reading Across America Day where he recorded himself reading Green Eggs and Ham to be disseminated throughout the Starkville community.
Â
Agent also led MSU's Student-Athlete Advisory Committee as the SAAC President. The SAAC serves as the voice of the student-athlete body, to enhance the total student-athlete experience, advocate for student-athlete's well-being and pour into the local community. As president, Agent oversaw all activities and was the primary spokesperson for the student-athlete body. He was the primary student-athlete liaison to the Athletic Director and other Mississippi State Athletics administrators.
Â
The SEC names a Community Service Team for each of its 21-league sponsored sports, looking to highlight an athlete from each school who gives back to his community through superior service efforts.
