STARKVILLE – Griffin Agent, a junior for the Mississippi State men's golf program, has been named to the SEC Community Service Team for the second year in a row announced Wednesday by the league office.
Â
During his time at State, Agent has sacrificed his time in various areas of his Starkville and home communities, which include Operation Christmas Child, the Clay County Animal Shelter and the Fellowship of Christian Athletes (FCA) Banquet of Champions. He also has served as the Athlete Engagement Chairman on the Student-Athlete Advisory Committee (SAAC) and as the Social Media Chairman for the FCA Leadership Team.
Â
To this point, Agent has achieved a 3.97 grade point average while pursuing a degree in accounting.
Â
Agent is just the third MSU men's golf student-athlete to earn the distinction twice. Ross Bell was named to the SEC Community Service Team three-straight seasons from 2015-17 and Jared Jimenez took it back-to-back years in 2005 and 2006.
Â
Agent represented MSU at the TVA Community Credit Union Invitational in October, where he finished tied for 21st after shooting even 72 in the final round.
