BIRMINGHAM, Ala. – Mississippi State men's tennis' Giovanni Oradini has earned a spot on the 2020 SEC Community Service team, the league office announced Thursday.
"The university and everybody does so much for me as a student-athlete," Oradini said. "I hope I can give enough back to the community compared to what they are giving me. Being a Bulldog is a privilege and I want to be able to represent my school in the best possible way."
Oradini, the lone senior on State's 2020 roster, was one of 13 members named to the SEC Community Service Team for men's tennis, with all teams submitting members for the 2020 season.
The Rovereto, Italy, native has been an active member in his community throughout his career. Most notably, Oradini serves as a Men's Tennis team representative on MSU's Student-Athlete Advisory Committee (SAAC). The group is made-up of student-athletes assembled to provide insight on the student-athlete experience. Oradini has also spent every holiday season volunteering for the Salvation Army at different locations throughout Starkville during his career.
