No. 34 MSU Welcomes Tennessee State For Doubleheader Saturday

STARKVILLE – The 34th-ranked Mississippi State men's tennis team returns to action this Saturday in a doubleheader matchup against the Tigers of Tennessee State.
The Bulldogs (6-4) will face the Tigers (1-4) at 10:00 a.m. and 2:00 p.m. CT Saturday at MSU's A.J. Pitts Tennis Centre. These matches were not released as part of MSU's original schedule, having been recently added to MSU's 2020 slate.

MSU In The Oracle ITA National Rankings…
The Bulldogs are currently ranked 34th nationally as a team by the Intercollegiate Tennis Association in this week's latest poll. In the ITA national singles rankings, two-time All-American senior Giovanni Oradini leads the Bulldogs at No. 39 in the country. Junior Florian Broska comes up next at the No. 73 in the country. State's top doubles pair of Broska and Nicolas Ocana is currently ranked No. 34 in the country.
Know The Foe: Tennessee State
Tennessee State will enter the weekend with a 1-4 record, coming off of a 7-0 setback to Vanderbilt two Sundays ago in Nashville.
This will be the first-ever meeting between MSU and TSU in men's tennis.
Next Up
Following Saturday's affairs, the Bulldogs will turn their attention to opening their 2020 Southeastern Conference slate. MSU will host Arkansas in a 3 p.m. battle next Friday, Feb. 28, also at the Pitts Tennis Centre on the MSU campus. State's previously scheduled match with Alabama State on the same date has been canceled.
