- The Bulldogs have tied the highest point total through seven SEC games in program history with nine points. It's happened two other times, the last being in 2001.
- Monigo Karnley is tied for first in MSU career game-winning SEC goals with four.
- A win against Arkansas would put Mississippi State as the seventh seed or better in the SEC Tournament.
- The Bulldogs have started five first-year student-athletes in three-straight games: Olivia Simpson, Macey Hodge, KK Pavatt, Birna Jóhannsdóttir, and Maddy Anderson. State has started five freshmen four times this season overall. The last time a State starting XI included five freshmen before this season was in 2015.
- An MSU win or tie against Arkansas would mean the Bulldogs are undefeated at home this season. A win would also mean it would be head coach James Armstrong's first win over a ranked opponent, and the first for the team this season.
- This is the second-straight match where State has faced a top-10 team, and the fourth time this season overall.
- The SEC Tournament in Orange Beach is now a single-elimination tournament, with the top four teams overall earning a two-round bye.
- With the Missouri-Georgia match originally scheduled for Friday being canceled, the standings will now be determined by points per game.
