Baseball to Hold Coaches Clinic

Diamond Dawg coaching staff will host coaches clinic on January 24, 2020
STARKVILLE – Coming off of its second-straight trip to the College World Series, the Mississippi State baseball program and head coach Chris Lemonis will host its annual Coaches Clinic on Friday, January 24, 2020. This information-packed event is free to attend, and participants must RSVP prior to the event.

The clinic will begin at 10 a.m. and conclude at 1:00 p.m. with a Diamond Dawgs practice to follow. More information about the event will be sent closer to the date of the clinic.
The staff for the clinic will include Lemonis, along with assistant coaches Kyle Cheesebrough, Scott Foxhall and Jake Gautreau. The quartet owns a combined 29 NCAA postseason appearances and 10 College World Series berths as coaches, while Lemonis and Gautreau also appeared in the College World Series as student-athletes at The Citadel and Tulane, respectively. Â

Interested coaches must e-mail April Edwards (aedwards@athletics.msstate.edu), in advance of the clinic to register. Please include the school you represent, along with the names and e-mail addresses of all coaches planning to attend.
The Bulldogs open the 2020 season with a three-game series at Dudy Noble Field against Horizon League champion Wright State from Feb. 14-16. The season opener is slated for 4 p.m. on Friday, Feb. 14. The series continues with a 2 p.m. start on Saturday, Feb. 15 and 1 p.m. first pitch on Sunday, Feb. 16.
