Track all of the honors, awards and rankings for Mississippi State baseball as the 2020 season approaches

STARKVILLE – As the 2020 campaign nears, national publications will release preseason All-America teams, along with national rankings and student-athlete breakdowns. The Preseason Central page is your one-stop shop for everything leading up to first pitch on February 14 at Dudy Noble Field.
National Rankings
The first of the six major polls was released on Dec. 16 and Mississippi State earned its highest preseason ranking since 2014 from Collegiate Baseball Newspaper. The publication tabbed the Bulldogs as the preseason No. 6 squad, the highest ranking for the program since being tabbed No. 2 by Collegiate Baseball in 2014.
Mississippi State will have a bevy of opponents ranked among the top 25, as five of its opponents enter 2020 ranked among in all five the preseason polls that have been released: Arkansas, Auburn, LSU, Texas Tech and Vanderbilt. Other opponents ranked among the top 25 or receiving votes in at least one poll include Ole Miss, Oregon State and Texas A&M. Like MSU, Texas Tech and Vanderbilt are among the top 10 in each of the five polls.

Preseason Accolades
Junior Tanner Allen, junior Justin Foscue , sophomore JT Ginn and junior Jordan Westburg have each earned Preseason All-America honors prior to the start of the 2020 campaign, with each garnering the honors from Collegiate Baseball Newspaper and Perfect Game.
Foscue and Ginn have each earned preseason accolades from the five major college baseball publications that have released their teams.
