Dates Set for Cowbell Yell and Fan Day

STARKVILLE – It is just about time to hit the lights in 2020 at Dudy Noble Field, as the Mississippi State baseball program will host Cowbell Yell at The Dude on Wednesday, Feb. 5 before Fan Day takes over the Palmeiro Center on Saturday, Feb. 8.

Cowbell Yell will begin at 6 p.m., with the gates to Dudy Noble Field opening at 5:30 p.m. The first 1,000 students to enter the gates at Cowbell Yell will receive a FREE 2020 'Dudes' t-shirt, and MSU students can sign up for "The Dudes," the official baseball student support group that offers exclusive prizes for attending games during the 2020 campaign.

Cowbell Yell will also feature the debut of the 2020 intro video, remarks from head coach Chris Lemonis, along with members of the baseball program speaking to the fans. In the event weather plays a factor, the event will move into the Palmeiro Center.

Fan Day will run from 3-5 p.m. on Saturday, Feb. 8 inside the Palmeiro Center, located adjacent to Dudy Noble Field and Humphrey Coliseum. The event will precede the men's basketball game versus Vanderbilt (7:30 p.m. tipoff), which will result in basketball parking restrictions during Fan Day.

Parking will be available for Fan Day in the Barnes and Noble, Bost Extension Center and Soccer Press Box lots located off of Barr Avenue.

Doors will open at 2:30 and fans are asked to enter through the southeast entrance of the Palmeiro Center. The entire 2020 roster and head coach Chris Lemonis will be signing autographs, while other activities include photos with the 2018 and 2019 College World Series participant trophies, Maroon Memories Stadium Tours, appearances by Jak, Bully, and the MSU Diamond Girls, as well as the Lil' Dudes Zone with inflatable games for kids.

To help ensure everyone in attendance has a chance to meet all the student-athletes and Coach Lemonis, student-athletes may only sign the official 2020 team poster, while Coach Lemonis will autograph one item of choice per person. Posters and schedule cards will be available for free to fans at the event.

A variety of Maroon Memories will be available to enhance your Cowbell Yell and Fan Day experiences, including early entry, front of the line passes, and more. The full menu of Memories will be released closer to the events.

The Bulldogs open the 2020 season with a three-game series at Dudy Noble Field against Horizon League champion Wright State from Feb. 14-16. The season opener is slated for 4 p.m. on Friday, Feb. 14. The series continues with a 2 p.m. start on Saturday, Feb. 15 and 1 p.m. first pitch on Sunday, Feb. 16.

While reserved seating season tickets are sold out for the 34th straight season, general admission/standing room only season tickets are available for a cost of $199.

New for the 2020 season, the Mobile Access Pass will provide access to unused chairback seats at Dudy Noble Field. The Mobile Access Pass provides a GA/SRO ticket for all games on the 2020 home schedule, while also offering upgraded access on a game-by-game basis to the unused chairback seats for all home weekend series – excluding Super Bulldog Weekend. The cost for the Mobile Access Pass is $225 and a limited number remain available for purchase.

The Mobile Access Pass and GA/SRO season tickets can be purchased at the Mississippi State Ticket Office, located in the Bryan Building off of Lakeview Drive. Tickets can also be purchased by calling 1-888-GO-DAWGS or online at hailstate.com/tickets.
