Baseball Shifts Start Time for Super Regional Opener

Mississippi State and Stanford will now throw the first pitch at 7 p.m. on Saturday, June 8
STARKVILLE – The Mississippi State baseball program has announced a time change for the NCAA Starkville Super Regional opener with Stanford on Saturday, June 8. Due to the threat of inclement weather in the area, the first game of the best-of-three series will now begin at 7 p.m.

Saturday's game will now air on ESPNews, via the ESPN app and ESPN.com/watch with Dave Neal, Chris Burke and Ben McDonald calling the action all weekend long from Dudy Noble Field.

This will be the ninth NCAA Super Regional for the Diamond Dawgs, who own three victories in the best two-of-three format, including the 2018 Nashville Super Regional. State has hosted three of those Super Regional events, defeating Clemson in 2007 and falling to Arizona in 2016.
