STARKVILLE – Mississippi State men's golf sophomore Griffin Agent has been awarded for his contributions to MSU, both on and off the course.
The SEC league office announced Thursday that Agent was named to the 2019 SEC Community Service Team, an honor given annually to a student-athlete from each team in the league.
Agent volunteered in various areas in the community, including at the Clay County Animal Shelter and the Fellowship of Christian Athletes (FCA) Banquet of Champions. He also served as the Athlete Engagement Chairman on the Student-Athlete Advisory Committee (SAAC) and as the Social Media Chairman for the FCA Leadership Team.
The sophomore also has excelled in the classroom and earned a 3.96 grade point average to this point as he pursues a major in accounting.
Agent played in four events in 2018-19, each time as an individual. In October, he earned his first-career top-10 finish with a tied for 10th performance at the TVA Credit Union Invitational.
