Children’s of Mississippi Kid Coach of the Week: Ty Pinson
May 15, 2019 | Baseball
Kid Coach is a partnership between Children's of Mississippi and the Mississippi State Bulldogs to salute pediatric patients. Their inspirational stories remind us just how truly courageous these young people are.
This week's Children's of Mississippi Kid Coach is Ty Pinson of Little Rock, Mississippi.
Ty was born with Down syndrome and numerous serious health challenges. Immediately after birth, he came to Batson Children's Hospital where he spent his first crucial days under the care of numerous doctors and nurses.
Now a happy and healthy six-year old, Ty and his family make a point of giving back. Last Christmas, they donated lots of toys for patients at Batson Children's Hospital, proudly wearing MSU gear!
Ty is in kindergarten at Neshoba Central Elementary School in Philadelphia, MS, and plays on the Diamond Dreams Baseball Team. Ty never meets a stranger. He is a miracle to his family and an inspiration to everyone he encounters.
Ty loves to dance, sing, jump on a trampoline, play outside, and ride any motorized vehicle. He also loves to play with his sisters, Madelynn and Marleigh, go to church, and play baseball!
Have fun at Saturday's game, Ty! Your friends at Children's of Mississippi are cheering for you!
Help us grow so they can grow.
