Children’s of Mississippi Kid Coach of the Week: Bentley Strickland
April 25, 2019 | Baseball
Kid Coach is a partnership between Children's of Mississippi and the Mississippi State Bulldogs to salute pediatric patients. Their inspiring stories remind us how truly courageous these kids are.
This week's Children's of Mississippi Kid Coach is Bentley Strickland of Union.
At age one, Bentley was diagnosed with a rare genetic disorder that can damage the bones, heart, lungs, and other organs. Treatment at @BatsonHospital has included a bone marrow transplant and multiple surgeries.
Bentley's mom, Cindy, says he inspires everyone with his strength and courage. Now five years old, he has a passion for horses and is a social butterfly who loves people.
Have fun at Saturday's game, Bentley! Your friends at Children's of Mississippi are cheering for you!
