
Baseball Moves Friday Game Time versus Alabama

Mississippi State and Alabama will now throw the first pitch at 6 p.m. on Friday, April 12
STARKVILLE – Super Bulldog Weekend will get started just a bit earlier at Dudy Noble Field on Friday, April 12, as the Mississippi State baseball program and head coach Chris Lemonis will now throw the first pitch of the series-opening game against Alabama at 6 p.m.

Friday's promotions include commemorative Will Clark baseballs for the first 1,000 fans, while live music will be in the plaza prior to the game. The third Friday Night Fireworks presented by Marathon Petroleum will take place following the game, featuring a soundtrack of country music.

The three-game series now opens at 6 p.m., before a pair of 3 p.m. contests will follow on Saturday, April 13 and Sunday, April 14. After the first two games will be carried on SEC Network+, the duo of Clay Matvick & Ben McDonald will get their first taste of the "New Dude" as they call Sunday's game on the SEC Network.

State has won three of its first four SEC series, with this weekend marking the midway point of the conference season. The Bulldogs own a 28-6 overall mark, which includes a 7-5 record in SEC play. Overall, MSU has won six of seven weekend series in 2019, along with winning both games at the Frisco Classic, while owning an 11-0 mark in midweek contests.
