Football Goes Through First Spring Scrimmage

by Brandon Langlois, Associate Director/Communications
STARKVILLE – Joe Moorhead and the Mississippi State Bulldogs wrapped up another week of spring practices Saturday morning with a light scrimmage on the grass field at Leo Seal Jr. Football Complex.
With a focus on situational elements, the Bulldogs practiced several down-and-distance scenarios along with red zone and goal line plays.
"We're playing with good physicality through seven practices and competing our tails off," Moorhead said. "The guys are getting after each other every single snap. But, in all three phases, you're just looking for a continued execution and precision, and I think we'll have good film to coach off of today."
State will practice twice next week (Tuesday and Thursday) before scrimmaging for the second time this spring next Saturday. All practices and the scrimmage are closed to the public.
