Baseball Announces Dates for Fan Day and Cowbell Yell

Fan Day slated for Feb. 9, while Cowbell Yell will precede men’s basketball vs. Alabama on Feb. 12
STARKVILLE – If pine tar and eye black are two of your favorite things in life, we have two dates you need to place on your calendar, as the Mississippi State baseball program will host Fan Day on Saturday, Feb. 9 in the Palmeiro Center and Cowbell Yell on Tuesday, Feb. 12 at Dudy Noble Field.

Fan Day will run from 3-5 p.m. on Saturday, Feb. 9 inside the Palmeiro Center, located adjacent to Dudy Noble Field and Humphrey Coliseum. The event will follow the men's basketball game versus Kentucky (noon tipoff), which will result in basketball parking restrictions remaining in place until the conclusion of the game.

Doors will open at 2:30 and fans are asked to enter through the southeast entrance of the Palmeiro Center. The entire 2019 roster and head coach Chris Lemonis will be signing autographs, while other activities include photos with the 2018 College World Series participant trophy, Maroon Memories Stadium Tours, appearances by Jak, Bully, and the MSU Diamond Girls, as well as a Lil' Dudes Zone with inflatable games for kids.

To help ensure everyone in attendance has a chance to meet all the student-athletes and Coach Lemonis, student-athletes may only sign posters while Coach Lemonis will autograph one item of choice per person. Posters and schedule cards will be available for free to fans.

Then, on Tuesday, Feb. 12, the baseball program will get the Bulldog faithful fired up for that evening's men's basketball game versus Alabama with the annual Cowbell Yell. The event will begin at 6 p.m., with the gates to Dudy Noble Field opening at 5:30 p.m. In the event weather plays a factor in the day, the event will move into the Palmeiro Center.

The first 1,000 students to enter the gates at Cowbell Yell will receive a FREE 2019 'Dudes' t-shirt, and MSU students can sign up for "The Dudes," the official baseball student support group that offers exclusive prizes for attending games during the 2019 season.

Cowbell Yell will also feature the debut of the 2019 intro video, remarks from first-year head coach Chris Lemonis, along with members of the baseball program speaking to the fans.

A variety of Maroon Memories will be available to enhance your Fan Day and Cowbell Yell experiences, including early entry, front of the line passes, and more. The full menu of Memories will go live for purchase on Monday, February 4th.

The Bulldogs open the 2019 season with a three-game series at Dudy Noble Field against Youngstown State on Feb. 15-17. The season opener is slated for 4 p.m. on Friday, Feb. 15 against the Penguins and general admission season tickets are on sale now by contacting the ticket office at 1-888-GO-DAWGS or by clicking here.
