Zion Campbell Selected to SEC Community Service Team

STARKVILLE – Zion Campbell has been selected to the 2019 SEC Community Service Team, the league office announced on Thursday.
Campbell led the Bulldogs in service hours this year and has recorded more than any other player on the roster for her career.
The Washington, D.C., native has volunteered with the T.K. Martin fun runs on campus and local Travis Outlaw Days. She has also helped with Thanksgiving meal deliveries and Vacation Bible Schools as well as Pumpkin Palooza in Starkville.
Campbell volunteered at Camp Jigsaw over the summer where she worked with children with autism spectrum disorders.
She has been named to the SEC First-Year Honor Roll in 2015-16 and the SEC Academic Honor Roll in 2016-17. Campbell has played in 20 games this year and boasts a career 64.2 percent field goal percentage on the floor.
MSU will host LSU on Thursday, Feb. 28 at 7 p.m. CT for its final regular-season home game of the year. The contest will air on SEC Network+, and Campbell will be honored along with the rest of the senior class of 2019 with Senior Night ceremonies following the game. The Bulldogs will then close conference play at No. 14/15 South Carolina in Columbia on Sunday, March 3 at 1 p.m. on ESPN2.
