Children’s of Mississippi Kid Coach of the Week: Madilyn Allbritton

Kid Coach is a partnership between Children's of Mississippi and the Mississippi State Bulldogs to salute pediatric patients. Their inspirational stories remind us just how truly courageous these young people are.
This week's Children's of Mississippi Kid Coach is Madilyn Allbritton of Charleston.
At just two weeks old, Madilyn was diagnosed with a rare form of bacterial meningitis that few children survive. She stayed at Batson Children's Hospital for more than a month where her care team worked tirelessly to make sure she had the best available treatments. "Every person we came in contact with treated us like family," says Madilyn's mom, Jessica. "They truly cared about my child."
Madilyn defied the odds and is now an active, thriving six-year old. She has a big personality and loves to sing and dance. She also enjoys spending time outdoors.
