STARKVILLE – Mississippi State returns to the hardwood after a 10-day hiatus as the Bulldogs meet Louisiana Tech, their fourth nonconference opponent from the state of Louisiana, in a Thursday evening matchup at Humphrey Coliseum.

METAL DETECTORS/CLEAR BAGS
In an effort to continue Mississippi State's long-standing commitment to provide a safe and secure environment for all fans, coaches and student-athletes, walk-through metal detectors have been implemented at all entrances of Humphrey Coliseum on basketball gamedays.
Fans will be asked to follow the instructions of the security screening staff and place large metal objects such as phones, keys and cameras in containers or in their clear bag on screening tables before passing through the walk-through metal detectors.
Fans will not be required to remove belts, watches, wallets, jewelry, shoes, jackets, coins or other small objects. The metal detectors and clear bag policies provide a safer atmosphere and speed up the entry process into The Hump.

PROMOTIONS/TICKETS/ACCESS PASS
Fans can receive free admission to Thursday's game by bringing either a canned good, nonperishable food or toiletry item to Humphrey Coliseum to benefit Bully's Closet & Pantry. The canned goods will be collected and tickets will be issued outside the east and west coliseum entrances.
Thursday's game also is "Christmas Vacation Night" at the Hump, and the first 500 fans will receive a "Cousin Eddie" style M-state branded ski alpine hat.
Fans will have the opportunity to take a photo with "The Golden Egg" on the concourse near the Mize entrance leading into the game.
General Admission seating is now available at Humphrey Coliseum for men's basketball. Tickets can be purchased in advance for only $5 at www.HailState.com/tickets or in person staring 90 minutes before tipoff for $10 at the Humphrey Coliseum Box Office. Discounted online purchasing also ends two hours prior to tip time for each game.
Mississippi State is offering a pair of new fan-focused season ticket option for the 2019-20 season, the mobile access pass. This new ticketing option will provide exclusive access to already-sold lower level seats during non-conference games inside Humphrey Coliseum, and a 200 level general admission ticket for all conference games.
During non-conference play, fans with the mobile access pass will be digitally delivered a general admission ticket for a designated lower level section each game and will have access to sit in any open seat within that designated section. FIVE THINGS TO KNOW ABOUT MISSISSIPPI STATE
1. Mississippi State is coming off a third-place finish and a 2-1 mark at the Myrtle Beach Invitational where the Bulldogs knocked off Tulane (80-66) and host Coastal Carolina (81-56) between a tightly-contested matchup with No. 17 Villanova (83-76). Reggie Perry tucked away all-tournament honors en route to 17.3 points, 6.0 rebounds, 3.0 assists and 2.0 steals per game. He secured 18 points and 10 rebounds during the Villanova game. The 18 points were a career-best for Perry against a non-conference opponent. Tyson Carter was equally impressive as he provided 19.3 points, 5.3 rebounds and 5.0 assists per game in Myrtle Beach. He turned in two double-doubles, the first of his career, and became the 40th member of the program's 1,000-point club.
2. Mississippi State is looking to extend its SEC-leading 26-game nonconference home winning streak which dates back to the 2016-17 season. The Bulldogs have won 18 of 26 contests during the streak by double figures which includes 10 of the last 12 outings over the last two seasons. Mississippi State's defense has limited its opposition to 54.0 points per game, a 36.8 field goal percentage and totaled 5.3 blocks per game over its last three home appearances.
3. Reggie Perry is a preseason All-America selection by Lindy's (First Team), Street & Smith (Second Team) and Athlon Magazines (Third Team) in addition to being named a consensus All-SEC First-Team honoree. He is coming off a sensational summer where he won a gold medal and captured tournament MVP honors with the USA U19 Team at the 2019 FIBA World Cup in Greece. Perry also had the opportunity to attend the NBA Draft Combine and workout for several NBA franchises. He is the only MSU player to secure 10-plus points in all seven games this season. Perry's 14.7 points are tied for 15th whereas his 9.8 rebounds are tied for 2nd in the SEC rankings. He has amassed 12 career double-double which holds the top spot among SEC active players.
4. Tyson Carter has improved his points, rebounds, assists and steals average over his first three seasons at Mississippi State. The senior guard is a fixture on the SEC leaderboard and ranks inside the league's top 10 in points (17.6 – 10th), assists (4.7 – T-7th) and steals (2.1 – T-3rd). Carter has already amassed a trio of 20-plus point performances which is tied for 5th in the SEC. He heads into Thursday's game 10 points shy of moving past three players and into 35th place on MSU's all-time scoring list. Carter is the only SEC player, one of two players among Power 5 conferences (Iowa State's Tyrese Haliburton) and one of eight players in the country to have a double-double via points-rebounds and points-assists this season. He recently joined his father, Greg, as the only SEC father-son tandem to score 1,000 points each.

Abdul Ado has been rated among the SEC's best shot blockers during each of the last three seasons … His 1.7 blocks per game in 2019-20 sit tied for fifth place … Ado has racked up 136 career blocks over 74 career games and has climbed to eighth place on MSU's all-time list … His 1.84 career BPG are third in program history only behind legendary shot blockers Jarvis Varnado (2007-08-09-10) and Erick Dampier (1994-95-96) … Robert Woodard II has amassed 12.1 points and 8.3 rebounds per game on the season … The 8.3 RPG are tied for fifth place on the SEC list … He has exploded for three of his top four scoring performances in 2019-20 headed by a 21-point, 16-rebound effort versus New Orleans followed by 17 points on 7-of-14 shooting against No. 17 Villanova … Iverson Molinar and D.J. Stewart Jr. has accounted for double figures in four games apiece on the young season … Molinar ripped off 21 points aided by four treys against Tulane … His 3.0 assists per game also are second on the team … Stewart Jr. has worked his way to 70 of the team's 121 bench points … KeyShawn Feazell and Prince Oduro also have been solid contributors to MSU's rotation … Oduro claimed a pair of 6-point efforts during the Tulane and Coastal Carolina wins, while Feazell added five points, two rebounds, two assists and two steals against Tulane … Mississippi State will be without Nick Weatherspoon who came away with 9.6 points per game last season due to a violation of team rules … He is scheduled to make his season debut versus New Mexico State on Dec. 22 in Jackson.

Louisiana Tech has posted a 5-2 record with its lone setbacks coming at Creighton (82-72) on Nov. 16 and at Indiana (88-75) on Nov. 25. The Bulldogs were 20-13 a season ago headed by a 13-point road win over Wichita State.
Last time out, Kalob Ledoux was instant offense off the bench and poured in a season's best 23 points to fuel a 78-57 win over Samford on Nov. 30. The McNeese State transfer has pumped in a team-leading 11.9 points per game with 13 of his 29 field goals coming from three-point territory.
Amorie Archibald (11.6 PPG) and DaQuan Bracey (11.1 PPG, 3.9 APG, 2.0 SPG) also have secured double figures for the Bulldogs. Bracey has notched 10-plus points in six of seven outings. He came away with 14 points on a flawless 7-of-7 shooting and dished out seven assists during the Samford game.
Mubarek Muhammad (9.4 PPG, 9.7 RPG) has been Louisiana Tech's best interior player and connected on 60.9 percent of his field goal attempts.
