
Maroon Madness On-Tap for Friday

STARKVILLE – Mississippi State men's and women's basketball will hold its annual Maroon Madness event presented by Coca-Cola on Friday at Humphrey Coliseum.
Admission is free with doors opening at 6:30 p.m. CT, and the first 1,000 fans will receive a complimentary Maroon Madness T-shirt. Maroon Madness is slated to begin at 8 p.m. CT.
Free pizza will be served on the concourse next to Portal E while supplies last. The first 2,500 fans also will be provided with special Glow LED Foam Tubes whereas the first 5,000 fans can pick up a commemorative Maroon Madness poster spotlighting both programs upon arrival.
In addition to the above giveaways, fans also will have the opportunity to win $10,000, a car and free tuition for a semester.
The clear bag policy and walk-through metal detector screening process will be in place. Prior to the start of Maroon Madness, The Vista will sponsor a 3-on-3 Greek basketball tournament.
For fans planning to attend Maroon Madness, free public parking will be available in the parking lots marked in yellow on the attached map. Those lots include the east side of the Humphrey Coliseum, Barnes and Nobles, MacArthur Hall and the Soccer parking lot.
ADA parking can be noted in the blue on the attached map which is the top two bays in the parking lot on the east side of Humphrey Coliseum. For fans in need of the drop off lane, it also will be located on the east side of the Hump off of Lakeview Drive.
Reserved Football RV parking passes will be honored at lots 26, 34 and 38. Fans attending Maroon Madness will not be able to access the RV parking lots marked in maroon on the attached map. More information can be found at www.HailState.com/gameday.
Maroon Madness will feature a variety of skills competitions which include a dunk contest on the men's side and a scrimmage by the women's program. Both programs also will compete in a three-point shootout.
Event entertainment will be provided by rePercussion who will perform three acts and will be accompanied by the Mississippi State Spirit Squad.
The Mississippi State Athletics Ticket Office is selling season tickets for both programs online at www.HailState.com/Tickets, in person at the MSU Athletics Ticket Office located at the Bryan Athletic Building or via the phone at (888) GO-DAWGS (463-2947). Information on single-game tickets and mini plans will be announced at a later date by the ticket office.
