STARKVILLE – Week Six of the NFL season has come to a close, and it is time to take a look at home the 30 former Bulldogs who have gone #FromStateToSundays fared.
Linebacker and eight-year NFL veteran K.J. Wright turned in a crucial performance in Seattle's 32-28 victory at Cleveland. Wright totaled six tackles, including one for a loss, and reeled in a bobbled pass for his first interception of the season late in the fourth quarter to seal a victory for the Seahawks.
Former Bulldogs were on display Monday night as the Green Bay Packers defeated Detroit, 23-22, at Lambeau Field. Cornerback Darius Slay returned to action for the Lions after sitting out a week due to injury. Slay collected six tackles against the Packers.
Linebacker Preston Smith put on a clinic against the Lions offensive lien, totaling four tackles, 1.5 sacks and two tackles for loss. Through six games this season, Smith has totaled seven sacks, which is third in the NFL. Former Bulldogs Will Redmond (S), Elgton Jenkins (OG) and Hunter Bradley all saw action on Monday night. Defensively, Redmond added a tackle and deflected a pass.
Though his fourth-quarter comeback bid fell short, quarterback Dak Prescott made Cowboys history on Sunday versus the New York Jets. Prescott's four-yard rushing touchdown late in the fourth-quarter tied Roger Staubach's record for most rushing touchdowns by a quarterback in franchise history (20). Prescott closed the game with 11 rushing yards on three attempts and added 277 yards through the air, completing 70 percent of his passes (28-of-40).
