Basketball ‘Dawg Talk’ Premiers Wednesday at The Veranda

STARKVILLE – Mississippi State basketball coaches Ben Howland and Vic Schaefer will make their 2018-19 'Dawg Talk' debuts on Wednesday, Jan. 9 from 6-8 p.m. at The Veranda located on 208 Lincoln Green in Starkville.
Schaefer will start the program from 6-7 p.m. followed by Howland for the final hour from 7-8 p.m. Fans are invited to attend the radio show hosted by the "Voice of the Bulldogs" Jason Crowder and Neil Price. The show can be heard on the affiliates of the MSU Sports Radio Network presented by Learfield. It also is available online courtesy of www.HailState.com/plus and the TuneIn app.
Fans can interact with the show by submitting their questions each week via Twitter to @HailStateVoice, @HailStateMBK and @HailStateWBK. The show will also be available on Facebook Live.
The two coaches will split the remaining shows which will run from 7-8 p.m. each week throughout the season. Howland is scheduled to appear on Jan. 23, Feb. 7, Feb. 18 and March 6 with Schaefer on-tap for Jan. 16, Jan. 29, Feb. 13, Feb. 27 and March 4. Schaefer's Jan. 29 show will air from 6-7 p.m.
The women's program also will continue to host its luncheons for fans on Jan. 8, Jan. 25, Feb. 12 and Feb. 26 starting at 11:30 a.m. upstairs at the Mize Pavilion inside Humphrey Coliseum. To RSVP and purchase tickets for the women's basketball luncheons, contact Diane Brown at (662) 325-0198.
Both programs are ranked inside the nation's top 20. Mississippi State is one of three SEC programs and one of 10 programs nationally to have both of its basketball programs ranked among the Associated Press Top 25.
