
Women’s Basketball Rises in Associated Press Poll

STARKVILLE – As the only remaining SEC team to be undefeated in conference play, Mississippi State's women's basketball climbed one spot in the latest Associated Press Top 25 poll. The Bulldogs are now ranked sixth in both the AP and USA Today Coaches' polls.
State has now been ranked in the AP poll for 87 straight weeks and has been a Top 10 team in the poll for 51 consecutive weeks, the fourth-longest streak in the nation.
MSU leads the country in scoring offense (90.4) and scoring margin (+34.8). The Bulldogs are 11th in assist/turnover ratio (1.37), 12th in assists per game (18.2), fifth in field goal percentage (50.3 percent), second in rebound margin (+16.5), fourth in rebounding (45.6) and seventh in turnover margin (+7.25).
Jordan Danberry has scored in double figures in 15 consecutive games. Myah Taylor has not missed a free throw or field goal attempt in each of the last three games. She has just two turnovers in her last seven games.
The Bulldogs will travel to Louisiana and Alabama this week. State will play LSU in Baton Rouge on Thursday, Jan. 31 at 6:30 p.m. CT on SEC Network+. MSU then travels to Tuscaloosa to play Alabama on Sunday, Feb. 3 at noon CT on SEC Network.
