
Reigning SEC Champs To Appear On TV 13 Times In 2018-19

STARKVILLE – National audiences will get to see reigning SEC champion and back-to-back National Finalist Mississippi State women's basketball on television 13 times this season.
Vic Schaefer's squad will have 12 of its 16 SEC games televised, including seven of eight home conference tilts, while the Dec. 18 contest at Oregon will air on ESPN2 at 9 p.m. CT.
"It's a tremendous honor to be playing on ESPN and the SEC Network 13 times this season," Schaefer said. "The exposure they give our great game is second to none, and we appreciate the opportunity to be part of the continued growth of women's basketball across the country."
In league play, MSU will appear on the SEC Network nine times, beginning with the Jan. 3 opener at Arkansas.
The contest in Fayetteville starts a run of four-straight appearances on the SEC Network for MSU, as the Bulldogs' home contests against Kentucky (Jan. 6 at 4 p.m. CT) and Georgia (Jan. 10 at 8 p.m. CT), as well as a Monday, Jan. 14, road tilt at Auburn, will be shown on the network.
Mississippi State's Jan. 17 home contest against South Carolina will air either on ESPN or the SEC Network at 6 p.m. CT. MSU will also have its Feb. 10 home date against Tennessee broadcast on ESPN at 1 p.m. CT, while the regular-season finale at South Carolina (March 3) will be distributed nationally on ESPN2 at 1 p.m. CT.
Home games against Ole Miss (Jan. 27, 2 p.m. CT), Missouri (Feb. 14, 8 p.m. CT) and Vanderbilt (Feb. 24, 2 p.m. CT) will also be shown on the SEC Network.
SEC Network will also air the Dawgs' road tilts at Alabama (Feb. 3, 12 p.m. CT) and Texas A&M (Feb. 17, 1 p.m. CT).
MSU's home finale against LSU (Feb. 28, 7 p.m. CT), as well as all televised home non-conference games, will be streamed online on SEC Network +.
Road SEC games at Florida (Jan. 24, 6 p.m. CT), LSU (Jan. 31, 6:30 p.m. CT) and Ole Miss (Feb. 21) will also be available via WatchESPN.com and the WatchESPN app.
The Bulldogs open the season Nov. 2 with a 6 p.m. exhibition against reigning Division II national champion Central Missouri. State officially begins the 2018-19 campaign by hosting Southeast Missouri State on Nov. 6 at 7 p.m.
