
Jake Mangum enters the College World Series on a 13-game hit streak.
Mangum Receives ACBA All-Region Honors

STARKVILLE, Miss. – On the eve of making his first trip to the College World Series, Mississippi State junior Jake Mangum was named to the 2018 ABCA/Rawlings South All-Region Second Team, the American Baseball Coaches Association announced Wednesday.
A native of Pearl, Mississippi, Mangum is currently leading the Diamond Dawgs in batting average (.353), runs scored (61), hits (97), doubles (21), total bases (133) and stolen bases (14). His 97 hits lead the Southeastern Conference and rank seventh nationally, while his 21 doubles also lead the league and has him 28th nationally.
Named to the SEC All-Defensive Team and All-SEC Second Team in May, the veteran outfielder is currently riding a team-best 13-game hit streak and in that span has averaged .407, with 18 runs scored, three doubles, one triple, three home runs and 16 RBIs.
Mangum and the Bulldogs will open their time in Omaha, Nebraska on Saturday with a 7 p.m. CT first pitch vs. Washington on ESPN from TD Ameritrade Park.
