STARKVILLE, Miss. – A revolutionary college baseball experience will become a reality at Dudy Noble Field in 2019. Construction has begun on the Left Field Lofts, luxury two-bedroom suites with exquisite views of Dudy Noble Field, Mississippi State Director of Athletics John Cohen announced on Tuesday.
The three-story, 30,000 square-foot project features 12 loft units with a steel frame structure. Each unit is a 1,100 square-foot open floor plan with two bedrooms, two baths, a kitchen and a living space. They will include lavish finishes, a glass wall on the field side and an eight-foot deep cantilevered balcony that rises above the historic Left Field Lounge overlooking Dudy Noble Field.
"The Left Field Lofts will become the first structure of its kind in a college baseball stadium," Cohen said. "We are excited that construction is underway on this unique endeavor. Dudy Noble Field provides Mississippi State fans with the best experience in all of college baseball. The creation of the Left Field Lofts will enhance that and coincide with the grand opening of the stadium to start the 2019 season."
The Left Field Lofts will feature ground level, covered parking beneath the units. Wier Boerner Allin is the project's architect. ICM is the construction manager, and JESCO, Inc., is serving as the general contractor.
One of the unique features of the Left Field Lofts is the Rooftop Club, a two-tiered, covered premium area that will have unparalleled views of Dudy Noble Field and offer fans an unforgettable game experience. The club includes temperature-controlled restrooms, a pantry and drink lockers.
