MSU Wraps Up Regular Season Finale In Fifth

TULSA, Okla. – As the season begins to come to a close, the Mississippi State women's golf team wrapped up the final event of the regular season on Tuesday, ending the Dale McNamara Invitational in fifth place at 892.
Oklahoma State won with an 865.
"We finished with three individuals in the Top 20," MSU coach Ginger Brown-Lemm said. "It was a good way to finish up the season. Now we evaluate strengths and weakness and prepare for SEC's."
Katie Holt closed play at the Tulsa Country Club, leading the team with a 2-over 72 and tabbing a Top 15 finish. The junior closed out the event at 11-over to place 13th.
"We had a fun week playing in Oklahoma, Holt said. "I scrambled well today and that helped coming down the last few holes. I really enjoyed getting to play Tulsa Country Club over the past few days. It's great to finish strong in our last regular season tournament. Hail State."
Freshman Blair Stockett wrapped up play with a 54-hole tally of 13-over 223 after carding a 79 Tuesday, finishing right outside the Top 15 tied for 16th overall.
Teri Doss rounded out the Top 20 finishers for MSU with a tied for 20th position after firing a season personal best, 225.
Athena Yang and Aubree Jones ended with 227 and 233 respectively.
The Bulldogs head to the postseason next week to compete in the SEC Championship Tournament in Birmingham April 18-22.
