Track and Field Teams Ranked in USTFCCCA Polls Ahead of Nationals

STARKVILLE, Miss. – With the NCAA Indoor Championships quickly approaching on March 9-10, the Mississippi State women's track and field program is ranked No. 17 in the pre-championship USTFCCCA poll.
Team rankings were based solely on those athletes that have been invited to the national championships in College Station, Texas, this week. The Bulldogs will send three women, all seniors, to the competition.
"We have a good group headed to nationals this year," MSU coach Steve Dudley said. "We always want to send more, but the group that's going down there this year has a very good chance to run fast times and compete for championships."
High jumper Logan Boss is the Southeastern Conference champion and leads the nation in her event after breaking her own school record this season with a leap of 1.92m. Rhianwedd Price-Weimer has qualified for the mile run, and Tiffany Flynn will compete in the triple jump.
The Bulldog men also slipped into the latest USTFCCCA polls as one of the EventSquad selections. USTFCCCA's EventSquad rankings determine the top school in each event based on their best four athletes in that event. MSU is the top men's 800m school in the final #EventSquad rankings.
Bulldog 800m runners Marco Arop and Dejon Devroe will both make their first career appearances at the NCAA Division I Championships this week.
