Outback Bowl: Final Practice, Senior Tribute, Beach Day

TAMPA, Fla. -- Sunday marked 18th-ranked Mississippi State's final full bowl practice at Jesuit High School before the Outback Bowl on New Year's Day against Iowa.
For the 2018 senior class and All-American junior defensive tackle Jeffery Simmons, it was the last full practice ever in Maroon and White.
Jersey Swap
Per tradition, the Bulldogs had a little fun by swapping jerseys beforehand.
Senior Tribute
The 12-period practice also closed with a special tribute to the senior class and Simmons. The seniors include: S Johnathan Abram, S Stephen Adegoke, SNP Joel Baldwin, DT Tre Brown, OL Deion Calhoun, QB Nick Fitzgerald, DE Gerri Green, DT Grant Harris, DT Braxton Hoyett, WR Jesse Jackson, C Elgton Jenkins, TE Justin Johnson, RB Dontavian Lee, S Mark McLaurin, CB Jamal Peters, CB Chris Rayford, DE Montez Sweat, DT Cory Thomas and RB Aeris Williams.
This is the 10th MSU senior class to reach the 30-win mark. The 2018 class is now tied for fifth in senior class victories, one shy of tying the 2000 squad for fourth all-time. They could tie it with a win in the Outback Bowl on Jan. 1. A win also would make them the first senior class in school history to produce three or more nine-win seasons in a career.
Beach Day
Following practice, head coach Joe Moorhead and the Bulldogs took a team outing to the Hilton Clearwater Beach next to Pier 60. Members of the Famous Maroon Band and MSU spirit squads also were in attendance.
What to Wear on Gameday?
Bulldog fans are encouraged to wear Maroon to the game at Raymond James Stadium on New Year's Day. Kickoff is at noon ET/CT.
