STARKVILLE - Week 15 of the NFL season has come to a close, and it is time to take a look at how the 18 former Bulldogs who have gone #FromStateToSundays fared.
The streak continues for Kansas City Chief defensive tackle Chris Jones as he tied an NFL record by recording a sack in his 10th consecutive game. Jones brought down Los Angeles Chargers' quarterback Philip Rivers in the second quarter to tie the mark also held by DeMarcus Ware (2007-08) and Simon Fletcher (1992-93). Jones is the only player in NFL history to match the feat in a single season.
Jones closed the game with three tackles and 2.5 sacks. His 14.0 total sacks over the 2018 season rank fifth in the league.
Linebackers Preston Smith and Pernell McPhee led the Washington Redskins to a 16-13 victory at Jacksonville on Sunday. Smith collected three tackles in the start and combined for a sack, while McPhee also recorded a tackle in the victory.
Rookie Logan Cooke punted five times for Jacksonville and racked up 251 yards for a 52.4 average. He connected on a career-long punt of 72 yards in the contest.
Defensive end Fletcher Cox found his name all over the stat sheet in the Philadelphia Eagles' 30-23 victory against the Los Angeles Rams. Cox closed the game with three tackles and a sack.
The Bulldog H-Town trio return to their winning was as the Houston Texans picked up a 29-22 victory over the New York Jets. Linebacker Benardrick McKinney collected nine tackles in the start and broke up two passes. Rookies Martinas Rankin and Jordan Thomas both saw action against the Jets with Thomas reeling in a 2-yard reception.
