STARKVILLE - Week 14 of the NFL season has come to a close, and it is time to take a look at how the 18 former Bulldogs who have gone #FromStateToSundays fared.
Defensive tackle Chris Jones continue to wreak havoc for opposing quarterbacks as he grabbed three tackles, including a sack, in Kansas City's 27-24 victory over Baltimore. His first-quarter sack of Lamar Jackson marked the ninth consecutive game this season that Jones has recorded at least one sack, which set an NFL record.
Only five players since 1982 has made at least one sack in nine consecutive games over two seasons. Jones is the first to do it over a lone season. Jones now ranks tied for ninth in the league with 11.5 sacks this season.
Quarterback Dak Prescott led the Dallas Cowboys to a 29-23 overtime victory over the Philadelphia Eagles with help of an impressive game through the air. Prescott completed 42 passes for a career-high 455 yards and three touchdowns. His 455 passing yards were the tied Troy Aikman for the third-most in a game by a Dallas Cowboys quarterback and set a franchise record for the most yards ever thrown by a Dallas quarterback in a victory. Defensive end Fletcher Cox collected three tackles in the loss to the Cowboys and tallied 1.5 sacks.
Defensive back Darius Slay earned his nickname "Big Play Slay" during Detroit's 17-3 victory over Arizona. With the Lions holding just a 3-0 lead late in the third quarter, Slay picked up his third interception of the season and returned in 67-yards for the first pick six of his NFL career. Slay also added three tackles in the victory.
