STARKVILLE - Week 12 of the NFL season has come to a close, and it is time to take a look at how the 18 former Bulldogs who have gone #FromStateToSundays fared.
The streaking Houston Texas picked up their eighth consecutive win on Monday with a 34-17 victory over the Tennessee Titans. Linebacker Benardrick McKinney led the Texas defense with 10 tackles, including six solo stops. He was in on a key stop on fourth-and-short in the first half that set up a Houston score on the next drive.
Rookie tight end Jordan Thomas earned a start for the Texans and made a six-yard reception in the content, while rookie offensive lineman Martinas Rankin also saw action on Monday night.
Quarterback Dak Prescott led the Dallas Cowboys to a 31-23 victory over Washington on Thanksgiving night. Prescott completed 22 passes for a season-high 289 yards with two passing scores. He added 18 yards on the ground for a touchdown. Linebacker Preston Smith turn in a strong defensive performance for the Redskins despite the loss. Smith collected eight tackles, including 1.5 sacks.
Rounding out some strong defensive performances, defensive end Fletcher Cox helped the Philadelphia Eagles to a 25-22 victory over the New York Giants, collecting two tackles in the outing. Fellow defensive end Denico Autry grabbed three tackles for the Oakland Raiders in a 27-24 win over the Miami Dolphins.
