
Bulldogs Hold Steady At No. 6 In Associated Press Poll

STARKVILLE – A 4-0 start to the season has kept Mississippi State at No. 6 in this week's Associated Press Top 25 Poll.The Bulldogs notched a 41st-straight week in the Top 10, the fourth-longest active streak in the nation. State has been ranked in the poll 77 weeks in a row, the sixth-most consecutive weeks among Division I squads.
Mississippi State won its 23rd consecutive game in Humphrey Coliseum with an impressive 110-38 win against Coppin State. The victory was the Bulldogs' 38th-straight win against non-conference opposition.
Vic Schaefer's squad is the highest raked of five SEC teams in the poll. Tennessee comes in at No. 11, followed by South Carolina (13), Texas A&M (20) and Missouri (21).
With the ranking, Mississippi State is one of four teams (Oregon, Tennessee an Iowa) to be ranked in both the AP men's and women's basketball polls. The Dawgs are the only program in the country ranked in both basketball polls and the football poll.

Mississippi State wraps a four-game homestand with Thanksgiving week tilts against Furman and Jackson State.
The Bulldogs host the Paladins Wednesday at 2 p.m. Fans can bring a canned food item and receive a free general admission ticket, and can also enjoy a variety of Thanksgiving casseroles while supplies last.
The Bulldogs wrap the homestand Saturday with a 2 p.m. in-state showdown against JSU.
