
Hoops Programs Ready for Maroon Madness

STARKVILLE – The Mississippi State men's and women's basketball programs will be joined by the Harlem Globetrotters for Maroon Madness presented by Coca-Cola on Friday.
Admission is free with doors opening at 6 p.m., and the first 500 fans will receive complimentary Maroon Madness T-shirts. Maroon Madness is slated to begin at 7:30 p.m.
The clear bag policy and walk-through metal detector screening process will be in place. Prior to the start of Maroon Madness, The Vista will sponsor a 3-on-3 Greek basketball tournament.
Fans will be treated to performances by the Harlem Globetrotters, who are a "Worldwide icon, synonymous with family entertainment and great basketball skills. Founded in 1926, the Globetrotters have entertained more than 146 million fans in 123 countries around the world.
A variety of skills competitions will feature players from both programs and include a Hot Shot, 3-Point, Slam Dunk and 4-on-4 contests.
The Mississippi State Athletics Ticket Office is selling season tickets for both programs online at www.HailState.com/Hoops, in person at the MSU Athletics Ticket Office located at the Bryan Athletic Building or via the phone at (888) GO-DAWGS (463-2947). Information on single-game tickets and mini plans will be announced at a later date by the ticket office.
